Would Deaf People Be Drafted?
If they brought back the military draft, would deaf people be drafted? Probably not, because the last time I checked, disabled people were not drafted. However! Times have changed since the Vietnam era; today's modern warfare is largely driven by technology and other efforts that do not require the ability to hear. So, could deaf people be drafted?

You might want to take a looksee at this AllDeaf thread;
Deaf Employees in Armed Services
Also, if I understand it correctly, drafting is not limited to able bodied males. They will draft males (females? I don't know if laws has changed already?) who isn't ideal material for soldiers to do work that benefit the war effort (e.g. production worker? resource coordinator?), and are not necessarily a member of Armed Forces, though they do work for Armed Forces.
I would love to serve my country. I would love to be in the Elite Special force in the Sniper Unit. Something that I have dreamed since i was a boy..
maybe I should invest in that .50 caliber rifle :)
I picked the wrong AllDeaf thread to link to; this is the correct one:
We Need Draft Reinstated?
If you're curious, check out reply #34 and onwards, for the perspective on whether disabled people should serve or not.

The New York School for the Deaf had a rifle team and they were the best shooters. Deaf shooters were send to World War 1 and all (50?) of them were killed in combat. They were killed within days(?).
I think there is a story somewhere inside Jack Gannon's "Deaf Heritage" book.
DeafLinux
They could serve at Ft. Stewart or Ft. Benning that has accommodations for the deaf.
